What Causes Fever, Chills, Body Ache And Loss Of Appetite?
my adult son has had fever of 101.4 for six days now with chills. No cough, no throat issues. Pain all over the body and loss of appetit. I took him to ER two days ago and they ruled out Mono and other things. They advised us to use 1000 mg tylenol every 4 hours, and 800 mg motrin every 6 hours. Fever is still high and he has the chills. any advise?

Your symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three tablets a day. I also recommend to rest and drink liquids.
