Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My brother is having fever from last 15 days. The fever goes to 103 deg twice or thrice a day..all tests have been carried out including Dengu, typhoid, chickengunis, kidney tests etc...but nothing is coming out. Doctors have kept him on antibiotic but without any improvement
Most common causes for low-grade fever in adults include: viral respiratory tract infections, bacterial bronchitis, sometimes, antibiotics like penicillins or cephalosporins can cause a low-grade fever.
Plus, should check for urinary tract infection as it is quite common, and check thyroid function.
Keep well hydrated and regular follow up with his caring doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
