What Causes Fever, Dizziness, Nausea And Floaters In The Field Of Vision?

My 11yr old has a fever, says she feels dizzy and nauseous which I know are due to the fever but what has me worried is she said out of her one eye she is seeing a red spot off and on. What should I do? I gave her Tylenol but not sure if I should be concerned about the eye issue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

That is a little strange, but I cannot think of anything concerning with that symptom, so I would say just continue to treat the fever with Tylenol and see how it goes.

If this goes away and the fever resolves as it normally would in the next few days, then I don't believe there would be anything to worry about, but if there were any other strange symptoms, or things don't get better in the next 1-2 days, I would recommend having her examined by her doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
