What Causes Fever Even After Having Medications?

my daughter age 9years weight 23 1 week has passed my daughter has suffered from fever 101celsius antibiotic name swich 100 has been given but today at the morning she again has suffered from fever now doctor has advised medicine zanocin liquid 100 i want to know why doctor has given this medicine what is your opinion about my daughter's fever

Since 7 days passed and initially your daughter took swich and now she is taking Zanocin 100 mg i.e ofloxacin ( a broad spectrum antibiotics also useful in typhoid fever with effective in U R I).
Such type of fever may be due to these reasons , these includes.
1 Typhoid fever , as this is a long standing fever , so please get in Widal test for confirmation.
2 Jaundice is the most common cause of such fever in little child , so please get blood for serum bilirubin ( direct , indirect & total ) and s g ot . s g pt test.
3 Upper respiratory infection may be the another such cause .
In my opinion deal as mentioned above .
However there are so many other causes as, malaria , anemia .
Consult another physician and get his opinion.
