What Causes Fever Followed By Blisters On The Forehead And Chest?
I am having fever from 2 days.I just thought that it is a normal illness. But after the next day some blisters started popping out in my forehead, shoulders, chest, neck and back and yes it itches.I just wanted to know that is it symptoms of Chicken pox and if yes then what should be done to cure it?? Thank You
Hello, Thanks for your query. From your description it appears to be chicken pox. These lesions occur all over the body in crops. Once a blister like lesion develops it dries up after about 12 hours and a new set of lesions occur. This is a self limiting condition. Hence there is really no treatment, except controlling fever and maintaining hydration. The disease is very mild infection in children, but tends to be a bit troublesome in adults. Some times antibiotics may be needed to prevent bacterial infection affecting lungs. Otherwise it is a comparatively simple condition. The pox marks will disappear over next few weeks. Thanks.
