What Causes Fever, High WBC Count Along With Abdominal Pain And Vomiting?
My sister has been having extreme abdominal pain with vomiting. They did test and nothing showed up so they sent her home. She had another episode which was even worse now she is running a fever and her White blood count is high. What can it be they ruled out Gallbladder problems.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Fever and high white blood cell count is suggestive of infection. The differential count needs to be done to determine the type of infection. An elevated neutrophils count suggests bacterial infection. Abdominal pain along with vomiting suggest indigestion. You have mentioned gall bladder problem in your query. Is there any evidence of gall bladder problem? Inflammation of gall bladder due to stone or any other cause can lead to abdominal pain, vomiting, fever and elevated white blood cell count. If the gall bladder problem is ruled out then infection of the gastrointestinal tract needs to be ruled out. I suggest you to consult your physician for clinical assessment and prescription of suitable drugs.
