What Causes Fever In Elderly Patients?
hi doctor, my grandfather age 85 yrs is suffering from fever since last 1year.we get esr which is 120 now.he also had tb in back bone 8 years back which was treated sucessfully.now we are worried for him .can u please help us in diagnosis?

hello,thanks for query. raised esr can be seen in woman or obese people with out any reason some times.elderly man, fever since 1yr, post tb had full course of att, fever with persistent esr should be evaluated with furthur tests like blood culture, and some lab tests for recurrent fever.visit physician for proper evaluation and rx.all d best, take care.
