What Causes Fever Inspite Of Taking Paracetamol And Ceftas?

I am suffering from fever.Fever is ranging between 101 - 103F. Doctor has prescribed me,CEFTAS-200. Paracetamol - 500 & Pentofab.But my fever is not coming down.Are these medicines OK How much time will it take to cure my fever.I have doubt that Doctor has not prescribed any antibiotic; will my fever be O.K. without any antibiotic.

Thanks for your question. I can understand your concern.

Your treating physician has prescribed you Tab Ceftas 200... Which is an antibiotic with a wide coverage. Prescription also has tab Pantoprazole which is an antacid. Paracetamol helps in reducing fever, body ache, headache etc.

Watch for other associated symptoms like vomiting, cough, urine problem etc.
If it's a viral fever then it will start reducing from day4 of fever.

If fever persists even after three days of antibiotics then I will recommend to see your doctor again for examination and if required then investigation.
