What Causes Fever, Nausea And Reddish Rash On The Right Knee?

My son has what seems to be either an ingrown hair or insect bite on his inside right knee. It has a small head, very redish around the area. He has a 100F fever, has a little nausea as weep as has been feeling tired all day. The area somewhat resembles a staph infection.
