What Causes Fever, Numbness In Hands And Pinched Nerve In Neck?

My daughter who is 31, called and is running a fever and now her hands are getting numb. She was in ER yesterday and said she had a pinched nerve in her neck. Gave her Valium and said to take Tylenol and ibuprofen. She's also having painful headaches.
