General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

His fever is not related to his bypass surgery. In my view, it is more likely to be recurring viral fever. I suggest you to give him symptomatic treatment in the form of tablet paracetamol according to his weight, and other supportive treatment like Cetirizine and steam inhalation and warm salt water gargling, if required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanthi E., General & Family Physician
