What Causes Fever, Rashes All Over The Body And Tingling Sensation In The Hands?

Tingling hands, itch, red palms, red in between fingers. Hands hurt! Pins when touch hard or grip. 47 year old female. Had 101.4 fever last night and it broke this morning. There is also a rash all over my body that seemed to decrease some with Benedryl. What do you think?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the tingling hands indicate weakness following underlying fever with possible dehydration status. As there is rash all over the body, a viral infection is first priority to be considered as etiology. Apart from Benadryl, plenty of liquids and supportive care will take nice way to cure you early. If rash persist beyond a period of 2 days or increase in severity over next 24 hours, consult your doc for further guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
