What Causes Fever, Sore Throat And Ear Pain Post A Colonoscopy?

I had a colonoscopy two days ago along with an endoscopy. They did a biopsy of my colon. I m running a low grade fever of 99.5-99.6 on and off. The left side of my throat Is sore with a mild earache in my left ear. Also my eyes are itchy and watery. Is this normal?

dear user

about your question i would like to tell you that these symptoms you mentioned refer mainly to have bacterial or viral infection after colonoscopy causing these symptoms lead to consequences of ear pain or soreness of throat and fever.........you may get stressed when having colonoscopy and stress and anxiety lead to easily infected........your feeling of these symptoms should not make you worry as it is common symptom of viral or bacterial infection .....some times we require blood test or throat swab for investigation if symptoms get worse but now you not need that but till now you need not to do that.....you should see your ent doctor for clinical examination.........you should also drink alot of warm fluids that will make you better ......you should also avoid stress and anxiety . .....you can gargle your throat and nose with saline as simply it helps to decontaminate your nose and throat. ......you can use chlorohexidine mouth gargle if you have throat soreness with these symptoms.......almost the most common cause of that for you is you were stressed and your immunity reduced thaen you get infected and consequences occur..........wish you health
