What Causes Fever With Persistent Wet Cough And Headache In Children?
Hi, My 9 year old daughter has a fever with persistent wet cough and headache. It started yesterday with post nasal drip, headache (the top of her head) and low fever. Today the fever is up to 103. Motrin brings it down and she is eating well. No other symptoms. Should we have her checked by her pediatrician? Thanks.

I understand ur concern.
Fever with cough and cold are signs of upper respiratory infection. Which are viral in origin mostly.
I recommend you to start an antibiotic with antihistamine and cough expectorant.
Chest xray WL be of great help.
If still it doesn't subside than please visit a paediatric speCialist.
