What Causes Fever With Sore Legs?

My 8 yo son has complained for 2 days of sore legs and has had a temp of 102.4 up to 103.1 tylonal wont break it,, He has spent the last week on vacation in alabama swimming and fishing. Is this something from a mysquito bite or just the flu what else can i do he wont eat or drink much.. Tim

Hi, fever for two days with sore legs and history of travel is suggestive of insect bite with secondary bacterial infection. In my opinion, you should give tablet levocetrizine 5 mg two times a day and continue paracetamol tablet. Also, you need to apply mupirocin cream at the skin lesions. Take care.
