Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Doctor, my son was in hospital for more than month due to loose motion(greenish color) ,vomiting and fever. Finally his loose motion and vomiting is stopped and my son is discharged from hospital. Now 10 days after discharge ,we find once in day fever and some spots in his skin. sir kindly advice.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Appearance of spots along with fever suggests viral infection. Viral infections are self limiting in majority of cases. However, exact diagnosis is required. Viral infections which cause fever with spots are varicella, rubella, mumps, measles etc. Viral infections require isolation for some days so that the infection does not spread from infected child to other uninfected children. Consult your pediatrician for clinical assessment to diagnose the infection an to start relevant treatment. The prior loose motions could be due to some other infectious agent.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
