My daughter 8yr old. Came home from school with a fever out of nowhere. 101.5 with a headache I gave her Tylenol and a bath temp went down to 99.2. Middle night 103. Back down to 99.2 by morning. Back up near 101.7 sore throat. She has been spending a great quantity of her time playing outdoors. We live in Northern Maine not sure if its relevant. Her throat is a bit pink but no white patches that can be seen. When should I be worried? What could be the issue?
Hi. Read the history about your daughter. Since the re is recurrent fever yet the child is in a playful moods. this is possibly flu. I would advise you the following: Give Paracetamol round the clock in an appropriate dosage . Watch for other signs as change of color of phlegn, coughing or any other symptoms , consult a Pediatrician to get a clinical evaluation, investigations and added dosages of an antibiotic and symptomatic treatment.
I hope this answer helps you.
