General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sevista, Ormiloxifene is an Selective estrogen receptor modulator acts on the oestrogen receptors. It acts in both ways has both favoring effect and inhibiting effect. In bones, SERMs favours the estrogenic action while it has antiestrogenic effect in estrogen receptors in uterus and breast.

Ormiloxifene is used as oral contraceptive acts by changing the ovulation period and delays the uterine endometrial thickening which on combined effect affects the fertilization and implantation. It inhibits the growth of the uterine fibroid. Sevista does not interact with Thyronorm absorption or its function. Do thyroid profile test to find the appropriate cause. Consult the physician with the reports and discuss about the possible cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
