What Causes Fibroids And Ovarian Cysts?

I am having a TVH and a removal of one ovary for large fibroids and persistant ovarian cysts. I am 42 and in otherwise good health. I am very claustraphobic and have anxiety. Can the doctor give me anything before and after surgery to help with this?
