What Causes Fibroids In The Uterus?
Hi my step mom age is 46 and she is suffering from abdominal pain for past 1yr only during menstrual cycle and USG finding reveals uterus size of abt 76*54*46mm and 30*27mm hypoechoic mass in anterior wall of uterus... Suggestive of fibroid... Pls suggest further management???

There is no specific cause for fibroids and it is common pathology of uterus in premenopausal women. The rule is that it should be treated by surgery if there are symptoms so the best option would be surgical removal of uterus.
