What Causes Fingers Deformation And Facial Tightness While Suffering With Scleroderma?

I have sclaraderma and it is affecting my hand and arms. I can feel my chest and neck and face start tightening. My fingers are deformed now and always hurting. Is there anything I can do to help this? I feel my body hardening and is making my ever day life harder. I feel like my life is slipping away from my! Please give me any suggestions that could be of any help!!!!

Hello, my name is Dr Olgeta Xhufka. I understand your concern. Sclerodermia is an autoimune disease that consists in thickening of skin due to collagen acumulation. It may involve the inner organs. There is no typical cure for it . Its symptoms may ease by using corticosteroids and immunosuppressive drugs. Keep warm temperature to avoid Raynaund fenomen in fingers.
