What Causes Fish Smelling Odor From The Vagina With A History Of Hysterectomy?
I had a hysterectomy about 6 yrs. Ago and I shower at least twice a day but I usually wash the vagina inside out. I am 38 yrs. Old and just learned I was cleaning it wrong, but my question is why does it smell like fish a lot of the times? I have been checked by my OB and I have no infections. Please help me
Hello dear I understand your concern It could be a improper hygiene that cause fish smell. Also occur in the bacterial vaginosis and chlamydia infection. If you have not undergone vaginal swab test, cell culture and urine tests then go for tests to confirm hidden infections: Take following advises: Wash vagina with warm salted water 2-3 times per day and then apply apple cidar vinegar. Use vagina suppository of lactobacillus and clingen Use V-Vaginal plus wash to maintain proper hygiene Avoid excessive sweets, spicy and oily food in the diet Wear pure cotton loose undergarment and avoid sweats in pelvic area. Do regular exercise and take healthy diet, fresh fruits and green leafvy vegetables. Hope this may help you
