What Causes Fishy Smell With Discharge From Vagina In Child?
i think my 10 year old daughter has gardnerella. I don t think she wipes herself well when she uses the toilet-(from back to front). i had contracted the infection years ago and was told that i had to be careful of how i wipe myself. my daughter has a strong, fishy smell with discharge. she is not sexually active. could it be a bladder infection? there is no pain.

Sounds like she is not practising good hygiene with wiping and that has caused an overgrowth of smelly bacteria in her vaginal area. bathing with warm water and proper front-to-back wiping technique will help. Gardnerella is usually seen only in sexually active women.
