General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It is possible that you may have a skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis, or seborrheic dermatitis, which can cause flaky skin, brittle hair, and an itchy scalp. Other possible causes include an allergic reaction to certain products, such as shampoos, conditioners, or hair dyes, or a fungal infection of the scalp. Follow up with your skin specialist and discuss your treatment. In the meantime, you can try using gentle, fragrance-free skincare products, and avoiding any known triggers that may be aggravating your symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
