What Causes Flank Pain And Frequent Urination At Night After Taking Apo-Amoxi-Clav?
Diagnosed with Strep throat last Wednesay - have been prescribed Apo-Amoxi Clav875/125mg. My throat feels slightly better, but have felt lethargic, continuous headache and sick to my stomach since I have been on it... I am also feeling pain around the kidney area, very thirsty... waking in the night to urinate 4 to 5 times a night... is there chance I can be having an adverse reation to the meds or does it just take this long to get rid of the strep... should I go back to the doctor.

The symptoms you are experiencing is unlikely due to the medications and is more suggestive of inflamatyion of glomerulus(glomerulonephritis) or infection of kidney (pyelonephritis). Urine analysis, microscopy and culture is required to confirm the diagnosis. Please be advised to follow up with your primary care provider to undergo necessary evaluation.
