What Causes Flesh Colored Bumps On The Vagina?

I have noticed some flesh colored bumps/growths on the labia area. They are no painful unless I have recently shaved, and there is no odor or itchiness caused from them. They have been there for atleast 2 months now, and they won t go away. Thoughts ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There may be multiple reasons of bumps / growth on the labia area with varying symptoms of pain, swelling, redness and itching etc. However, there are only limited causes for lumps/growth on labia without pain, itching or odor and also they are flesh colored.

The common reasons of labial growth/lump with these characters are:
- Skin tags due to friction of skin to skin or skin to clothes.
- freckles or moles due to repeated long exposure of skin to Sun.
- Genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease caused by a specific virus Human Papiloma Virus (HPV).
Moles, freckles or skin tags are not of much concern usually. However genital warts should be properly diagnosed and treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
