hi.. thanks for writing to us. i have gone through query and understand your concern. you said you were seeing small dots or feather like items floating in front your eyes, from what i understand, you are experiencing something called FLOATERS or FLASHES. These are nothing but tiny flecks of protein or pieces of blood vessels in the vitreous (jelly like fluid) inside your eyes. you may experience them mostly when you look at bright light. In most of the cases, these are bothersome causing discomfort but are not harmful. If they are bothering you frequently try moving your eye balls up and down, side to side so that floaters move away from your filed of vision. however if they suddenly increase with light flashes and if there is any vision loss it can be RETINAL DETACHMENT which might cause complete blindness.
