What Causes Flu Like Symptoms After Unprotected Sex?

Hi me and my partner had unpretected sex yesterday morning. That evening I came down with flu like symtoms, hard to swallow, temperture, and all my joints ache and flesh hurts if anything cold touches it. Could I be fighting a virus or STD he has given me?

It seems more likely you caught a cold from the partner. While HIV can be transmitted and gives a flu like disease (typically with nodes and a rash that varies but is hard to miss), it isn't generally in 24 hrs--more like a few days.
Can be any of the STD's though. Generally with urethral irritation, but can be with a pharyngeal irritation depending on acitivities.
