What Causes Flu Symptoms Along With Sore Throat?

for 2 days ive been having flu like symptoms like chilling, muscle pain and cold sweating.. i also have a painful sore throat.. been given zinnat 500mg im on my 2nd day now of medication but still the pain is just not subsiding though no more fever and chills now.. blood test wbc high segmenters high and lymphocytes low.. what seems to be the problem? pls help

I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Sore throat associated with chills and muscle pain is suggestive of bacterial infection in your throat. Increased white blood cells suggest of ongoing infection as WBC forms the defensive system in body. Antibiotic is usually prescribed for bacterial infections Zinnat 500 mg is usually prescribed for infections of throat, middle ear, respiratory tract and urinary tract.
Any antibiotic will take a minimum time to act and at least 3 days time to improve patient condition. Be patient and take ample of fluids, rest, fresh fruits to recover fully and do salt water gargle with warm water to soothe sore throat. Once you recover fully from infection add a multivitamin to your daily routine. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
