What Causes Fluctuating Body Temperature While On Lisinopril And Synthroid?

I have high blood pressue - take lisinapril, and hypothyroidism - taking synthroid am 62 yrs old. began having severe fluctuations in body temperature- freezing to the point of my body shaking so badly and teeth chattering, temp of 96.3 bp 185/105, heart rate 103. then a few hours later, back to normal, a few hours later, so hot I eel like i m burning, temp 101.5, bp 127/77, heart rate normal, and I just keep cycling. went to er,, everything fine. could find nothng. TSH was 3. something if I remember right. ll other tests fine.

Hello,

I mentioned here possible causes of fluctuations in body temperature.

Medications - antibiotics, narcotics, and antihistamines. Medical conditions - heart condition, heart attack, cancer, leukaemia, and Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Exposure to cold (low body temperature). Shock (low body temperature). Alcohol (low body temperature). Drug use (low body temperature).

Metabolic disorders - diabetes and hyperthyroidism. Postmenopausal syndrome or andropause may also cause temperature fluctuations.

Please get it done complete blood picture, blood pressure, blood sugar, Thyroid profile. Use tablet Paracetamol thrice a day if needed.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
