What Causes Fluctuation In Uric Acid Levels Along With Pain In Joints?
My uric acid levels fluctuate from 5to 5.6 (iam a female)with stiffness and pain in different regions of my body. Now my doc.has prescribed zyloric 300 mg along with tablet exicon 320 mg .I am skeptical about taking it as i want to know whether this would lower my uric acid levels permanently or this would be a temperary solution.I dont want to be dependent upon it. Thanks ,Rubina
I Welcome you dear Rubina on HealthCare Magic. I can understand ur concerns.
Yes Uric acid is the main cause of pain in your joints. What happens is Uric acid when accumulates in body in higher amount it crystallizes and is stored in the joint spaces. Most frequently in big toe joint and cause pain on friction when joint moves. Take least proteins in diet. Take fruits, salads, vegetables, plenty of water, exercises as much as your body allows. But remember, you need to start the medicine if your physician prescribed one. Its the only way to get rid of the excessive gout and give you relief. Otherwise you may be in pain. Very important point in your case is that Normal levels of uric acid are 2.4-6.0mg/dl. But uric acid crystals sometimes form in joints even at levels less than 7mg/dl. This can lead to a gout attack, even though uric acid levels are within normal range. Hope it benefits you. Please dont forget to click Helpful and also write a review at my profile.
