Hi they did an aspiration of a cyst with fluids behind my knee where I had a knee replacement done. It s going to be a year and my swelling is still there and the problem is the fluids that are in these cysts. My question to you is what is the reason for this ?
Thanks for using HealthcareMagic
Once the cyst/sac remains then fluid can rebuild or recollect. To prevent this, the cyst itself would need to be removed.
The temporary use of anti inflammatory medications such as Naproxen or Ibuprofen may help with the fluid for a short period of time.
I hope this helps
