What Causes Fluid Discharge From Nipple, Itching And Pain On Breast?
Am a teacher and my breast itch and ache with hot sensation occasionally with colourless fluid coming out from the nipple and my last delivery of child was 1999 I did prolactin test when I was 39yrs and it was normal and am 42yrs now and am having shoulder pain and ache most especially my right hand with the symptoms stated above.
Breast discharge could be due to infections, tumor like growth or hormonal reasons. All these causes should be ruled out. Prolactin Hormonal levels should be tested. Histopathological examination and culture and sensitivity of the discharge should be done.
Intraductal papilloma which are noncancerous growths in the ducts of the breast should be ruled out. They are the most common reason women experience abnormal nipple discharge. Further examination is required in order to identify the cause.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
