What Causes Fluid Discharge From The Breasts After An Abortion?

Good morning. I had an abortion 2 weeks ago. I was passing clots and bleeding heavily so I went back and they used a curettage on me again 5 days ago. I ve got a bit of cramping. I have a bad metallic taste in my mouth and my breastst are leaking. Is this normal?

Pain and cramping abdominal pain after abortion is normal for a few days after abortion. But if it is severe, you should consult your gynecologist.

Body starts preparing for lactation immediately after pregnancy and produces hormones lactogen and prolactin which lead to the production of milk.

It will stop after a few days. If it doesn't then you must consult your gynecologist, she may prescribe bromocriptine to stop milk production.
