What Causes Fluid Filled Bump Near The Eyeball With Eye Redness?

I woke up from a nap, and my eye was sore and red. The next day I had a pus pocket like a zit on the outer corner of my eyeball, day 4 and it is getting bigger. Could it be a parasite my cat likes to sleep on my pillow when I m not around and he does go outside.

Hi,

Most likely you have developed stye in your lids. You can do hot fomentation or warm compress over the lids. You can apply antibiotic eye ointment three times a day on the lid. Take painkiller like combiflam tablet for pain. If there is no relief plan a visit to ophthalmologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Ophthalmologist
