What Causes Fluid Filled Sore In The Mouth?

I have a soft, squishy mouth sore. It not an open sore but whenever I press my tongue against it I can move it around like it s filled with either liquid or air. I ve tried to pop it with no avail. I was able to pop it today, and a jelly like liquid came out. What does that mean? And what was it that I popped?

Hello,
You most likely have a mucocele and if bothersome, it can be removed. It can fil with fluid and release, disappearing and returning. You don't have to worry unless it causes a functional problem or becomes irritated.
Have your dentist evaluate with a clinical exam at a recall visit to confirm a diagnosis. Concern is with an abrupt change in texture, size or developing pain.
Thank you for your inquiry.
