What Causes Fluid Filled Swelling In Legs In A Diabetic Person?

hi I have been experiencing heavy fluid filled legs. they also are very hard to the touch. I have been to the emergency room several times, in regards to this. I have diabetes and hypertension and I have gotten several different diagnosis for my persistent problem. this is also extremely painful. I have had a Doppler test performed and there were no blood clots, so I am at a lost as to what the problem is and I wonder if the swelling and the pain can be reversed. thank you. k burroughs

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem like breathing difficulty?
Leg swelling in context of Diabetes or Hypertension , need to be investigated. There is need to investigate your heart, liver and kidneys. If I am your attending physician I will get FBC ,ESR ,ECG ,ECHO and renal function tests coupled with liver function tests .
if all these came normal , then you should meet VASCULAR SURGEON.

Meanwhile stay calm and avoid salt in your diet
