Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had fluid on my ears for almost 3 months now. I did have an inner ear infection and was treated with augmenten, steroids and told to take mucinex. I did that and the infection cleared however the fluid did not and moved to right ear. The doctor said to take Sudafed to help clear it up. I took Sudafed 12 hr day and night along with allegra and allergy nasal spray. Third doctor saw that my nasal passages are inflamed and referred me to an ENT and ordered CAT scan before I have appointment at ENT. I have slept with head of bed elevated as well. My pulse and blood pressure were very high at appointment and didn t even think that it could be the Sudafed. I didn t take it that night and by morning my blood pressure was back to normal. I am on blood pressure medication. It was so high it was almost in stage three hypertension range.
