Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fluid Retention In Body Causing Swollen Lower Legs And Bloating?
I weigh 350 lbs, my body seems to hold water swelling in lower legs on and off, I sleep during the day 3 hrs average some days less. Oh I m 6 0. I used to weigh 210 to 245 on average in my twenties and thirties. I have turned 40 this past year and have trouble with beer and cravings after a few. I m not sure what my blood pressure is at but I m assuming higher than normal. I m not yet diabetic. I don t take pills other than vitamins. I eat right too. Sometimes we BBQ once a week. I work physical in over 100 degree weather in south western Arizona as a welder. I cramp up often although I eat bananas and drink lots of water. Even adding electrolytes packs to my water jug. I drink a little over a gallon a day. I am worried about my body retaining the water and bloating it causes in my feet. Like pregnant women get you know? What could be causing my body to retain water and sleep a lot?
