What Causes Flushed Feeling While Weaning Off Metoprolol?
Been weaning off metaprolol for a week. Was 25 mg twice a day Cardio Dr. Told me to wean off Down to 12.5 mg once a day. Today I have been feeling flush. ER doctor gave me .5 mg lorazepam No rapid heart beat, just feeling flush Is this normal for getting off metaprolol ?
No flushing cannot be due to withdrawal of Metoprolol. Its sudden withdrawal can increase blood pressure which never causes flushing. If you don't have other symptoms then it might be due to hormonal changes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Hiren Hirpara
