What Causes Fluttering In Chest During Bronchial Cough?
have had dry bronchial cough - tickle in chest - for 3 weeks. was given prednizone 5 day pills and albuterol inhaler. they helped somewhat, but the cough hasn't gone away. Now am having fluttering in middle of chest just below rib cage, on and off for last few days. I have been diagnosed with low-grade seasonal asthma. Wondering what the fluttering could be

Since you are diagnosed case of asthma, worsening of this can lead to cough, chest pain, tachycardia (Fluttering feeling) etc. So better to consult pulmonologist and get done 1. Clinical examination of respiratory system 2. PFT (pulmonary function test). PFT will tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. You may need long acting beta 2 agonist (LABA) (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). You will mostly improve with these long acting inhaler.
