What Causes Fluttering Sensation Behind The Sternum?

I have been having a slight flutter like sensation right behind my sternum for past few weeks. I am 9 weeks postpartum. All labs and EKG normal. No rhyme or reason to when it hapeens or time of dayand only last a second but its concerning me. No pain with it or other symptoms.

Thank for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. This fluttering could be a benign type of heart irregularity. Since all your current tests are normal the next step is a holter monitor which will capture all your heart beats fro 24 hours. During that 24 hours if you feel the fluttering you push a button and it will capture the heart beat. This is the only real way to determine the cause of your flutters.
