What Causes Fluttering Sensation In The Chest After A Valve Replacement Surgery?

Hi... my mom had a valve replacement last summer, she webber rendu (sp) syndrome and has had to have blood and iron transfusions in the past. For the past two nights her heart has been fluttering, she has been tired and is pale. What could be going on?
