What Causes Flutters In Chest After Pulmonary Valve Replacement?
i am 7 months post op for a pulmonary valve replacement. I'm a 53 yr old female..about 157 lbs. periodically I have flutters in my chest. Today it was happening all day long. Kinda felt like my heart was jumping into my throat and flutters in my stomach as well. I was taking green tea capsules today and had not eaten anything.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, we should first rule out arrhythmia (rhythm disturbances in heart) for your chest flutters. You are also having history of heart surgery so possibility of arrhythmia is more.. So consult cardiologist and get done 1. Ecg 2. 2d echo 3. Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of ecg). You may need anti arrhythmia drug on the basis of these reports. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
