What Causes Formation Of Crust And Bleeding On Blowing The Nose?

I went to a very cold dry climate over a month ago. My nose became very dry and runny. Evenutally scabs developed in my nostrils. When I blow my nose it bleeds from the scabs. It crusts over and I blow my nose & it bleeds. A viscious cycle. What should I do? I ve tried vaseline, lypsol, antibiotic cream... nothing has helped.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that due to exposure of cold atmosphere there might be having dry ness of nasal mucosa producing crust and irritation.
While removing crusts there might be having soreness on nasal mucosa producing some bleeding.
Put some decongestant nasal drops.
continue applying antibiotic cream and vaseline.
Avoid nose blow or cleaning nasal cavity with giving pressure on nose.
Ok and take care.
