What Causes Foul Body Odour While Suffering From Kidney Disease?

My husband has chromophobe carcinoma and stage 4 kidney disease. He takes Sutent which has many side effects. Recently, he has developed a foul-smelling odor. It was first noticed when he had allergies and much drainage of the sinuses. It has persisted and seems to come from his body in general. Could this be a side-effect of Student or a result of the kidneys inability to flush toxins?

Hello,

Sutent (Sunitinib) is not known to cause any unpleasant body odor.

However, the breath may have an ammonia-like odor (also described as urine-like or "fishy") in people with chronic kidney failure. Avoid any food that you think smells bad.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
