What Causes Foul Odor And Discomfort Discharge From Ears?
I have been having problems with my ears it feels like i have a bug in it it is super itchy and has discharge coming out of it and has a mild foul odor. I have ear drops and have been using them but it doesnt seem to be helping. I suffer from small ear canals and once every 3 months my ears hurt and when i go to the doctors they say there is no infection and they . clean my ears out with a spray bottle. Yesterday i went to the doctors showed them that when my ear drains its leaving a crust around my ear hole and the doctor looked and said nothing is wrong. The pain is so bad i am crying. I dont know what to do. Do i continue the drops or should i go to the Emergancy room

Discharge from ears which has foul odor is suggestive of infection.
Small ear canals is not the likely cause for pain and discharge.
Crusting can occur due to accumulation and drying of discharge outside the opening of ear canals.
The symptoms of pain and foul smelling discharge is suggestive of infection of middle ear and probable extension into the adjoining bone.
Since, the middle ear is in close proximity to brain, thus, it is essential to detect the infection and treat it timely.
Thus, it is essential to get the ear examined by an experienced ENT specialist to detect infection or any other lesion.
In case of infection, appropriate antibiotics should be taken.
