Hi Im a 22 yr old female that just found out I have herpes about 2 months ago. For about a year i was walkin with a terrible rash feeling down there. Anyway i was prescribed meddicine that cleared my first breakout thankfully but about the time i was finished with my prescription i noticed I have this AWFUL odor that comes out of me down there. Like something dead inside me. No matter how dry and clean I keep my lady bits, its so strong ESPECIALLY after intercourse. Any ideas what it can be? I started drinkin so much water nd cut down on greasy meaty foods but I dont think its my diet or soaps because ive tried many of those to. Really appreciate your professional input .
Rash around genitalia and awful odor is likely to be due to reproductive tract infection (RTI). The RTI could be due to sexually transmitted disease (STD). I suggest you to get a pap smear and vaginal swab for culture and drug sensitivity. These investigations will determine the infection and thus treatment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
