What Causes Foul Urine Odor And Fatigue While On Dexilant?
I have been taking Dexilant for about 15 years for GERD and chronic ulcers. A couple of months ago, my urine started smelling terrible. Nephrologist told me to avoid green leafy vegetables. It helped, but it s back. My gastroenterologist said I could take 2 a day for up to 1 week when my GERD got worse. Could the Dexilant be causing the terrible odor of my urine alone with fatigue & digestive problems?
Hello dear. All the medications will give some foul odor to the urine. Dexilant may not be the cause of your urine odor. You may be having urinary tract infection. Kindly get your urine tested and take antibiotics like norflox as prescribed by your doctor and syrup citralka to make your urine more clear.
For GERD take medications like pantop or omez as suggested by your doctor and completely avoid spicy, oily food. Eat hot food and take food at regular intervals. Do not keep yourself on empty stomach for long time.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
