What Causes Frequent Bowel Movement Post Bowel Prolapse Surgery?

I had Bowel Prolapse surgery 6 weeks ago and have had problems with leakage ever since. I feel like I would like to have a bowel movement but it is just a small amount and continues throughout the day and now the night. I have a great urge to empty my bowels but cannot so it is just enough to soil my small pad I wear. I think the surgeon repaired my bowel too tight. Is that possible?
